If you are staying at our camp as part of a longer tour which you have booked with us or another Tour Operator, then on arrival in the desert, your driver will either take you to the Tiziri Office at our Auberge Takojt:

From this meeting point you can ride a camel into the dunes at sunset. Our camels are exceptionally well treated (see Our Story page) but if you would rather not ride a camel, we will provide a 4WD transfer to the camp instead.

Tiziri also operate tours through an affiliate company under the same ownership. So, if you haven’t already selected a Tour Operator to work with, we can manage that for you. Booking your whole tour with us also means that your stay at the camp will be at a specially discounted price.

If you opt for self drive, the ideal time to arrive at our Auberge is at least two hours before the sunset. Upon your arrival, we will greet you at the kasbah. You’ll have the opportunity to freshen up from the drive, park your vehicle and enjoy a refreshing glass of tea if time allows. Afterward, you’ll take on a 3 mins 4WD ride to meet your camels and begin the ride if you opt for the camel ride, alternatively we will arrange a 4WD transfer.

If you are an experienced desert driver and have a suitable 4WD vehicle and you do decide to drive directly to the camp on your own, the location is as follows;

Most guests elect to reach the camp by camel and the trek can be any length / duration you require. It takes approximately 2 hours from the Tiziri Office to the camp but if this is too long for you we will adapt the start / end point, in order to reduce that to 30 minutes or 1 hr if you prefer. This is included in your price if you book with us direct.

Depending on the season you would need to be ready to depart by 4 to 5 pm at least two hours before the sunset.

Alternatively we can drive you all the way to the camp and then you can enjoy a camel trek from there at the extra charge of €25 per camel

Airport Transfers to Tiziri Camp

We are pleased to offer private transportation from several nearby cities and airports directly to Tiziri Camp. Below are our current transfer options and rates:

From / To Errachidia Airport (Approximately 2 hours from Merzouga)

€150 – Private vehicle

From / To Ouarzazate Airport (Approximately 5 hours from Merzouga)

€400 – Private vehicle

From / To Marrakech

€450 – Private Vehicle

From / To Fes

€490 – Private vehicle

• All prices are per vehicle (not per person) and are valid for 1 to 6 passengers,  
• Travel times are approximate and may vary slightly depending on road conditions and time of day.

While we are happy to arrange one-way transfers, many guests find that booking a multi-day tour with us offers better value and a much richer travel experience, including scenic routes, cultural stops, and the expertise of our knowledgeable local guides.
